- Connect clean dry oil-free compressed air source to comparator 80 psi min to 150 psi max.
- Plug comparator in and switch on.
- Attach gaging member ( probe, air ring) to front of comparator.
- Place nominal master ring or plug gage covering jets.
- With comparator in “Normal” mode (green LED is lit), use Zero knob to zero readout or offset reading the desired amount – maximum +/- .0015
- COMPARATOR IS NOW READY FOR USE
The Auto Zero function (red LED is lit) may also be used to zero the comparator or for quick deviation from zero readings.
The analog meter is factory scaled at +/- .0015″ in .000050″ increments but may be custom scaled by the user following Analog Setup instructions in the Manuals section of this page.
There are no user serviceable parts inside.
